The Whippet

Characteristics

The whippet is a medium size dog weighing between 11 - 18kg

Coats are very short and require minimum care soft brusing or rubbing with a soft cloth to prevent damaging the skin beneath.
A suitible coat will be needed during the colder months.

Temperament

The Whippet is a gentle friendly happy dog that bonds closely with their families and are very good with children. 

They tend to get on well with other dogs but will chase small animals such as cats.

The whippet likes a good run and will chase anything that moves.

The whippet loves to curl up on the sofa and happy and content to snooze. 
They are not suited to out door living as their coat in not insulated enough.
