Despite common beliefs Staffordshire bull terriers are not good guard dogs this is due to their love of itβs human companion.
The Staffordshire bull terrier is a reliable family dog and as such love contact with adults and children alike, adopting the name Nanny dog in the early 19th Century due to the breeds gentleness towards children.
The Staffordshire bull terrier thrives well in a close family unit.
