Characteristics:
 
The Lurcher is a crossbreed dog with the most common a Greyhound cross.
 
Sizes can vary from a whippet to Deer Hound. 

Temperament:

The Lurcher is a calm and mild mannered dog, not very brave or courageous.
The Lurcher is an extremely loving, kind and affectionate dog, even when they have not had the best of start in life they are still true, loyal and loving.

Lurchers enjoy short daily bursts of exercise and sleeping the rest.     
Lurchers tend to be very obedient and are quick to learn with positive training techniques.
