Characteristics:
The Jack Russell terrier vary in size but are typically a small sized dog which can have either a smooth, broken or rough coat.
Jack Russell terriers are mainly white with tan or black face but can come in a variety of colours.
The Jack Russell terrier is often described as a big dog in a small body and are fearless and happy little dogs.
Each Jack Russell terrier has it’s own unique personality, and love showing off.
Average life span is 11 – 18 years.
Temperament:
The Jack Russell terrier is a lively happy dog that needs lots of exercise and stimulation, the Jack Russell Terrier can be independent and stubborn which requires consistent training.
The jack Russell terrier is extremely intelligent and consistently tests the boundaries through out their life.
The Jack Russell terrier often trains their owner long before the owner realises.
The Jack Russell terrier reacts well to consistent positive training.
Most Jack Russell terriers are friendly towards other dogs. Some can however show same sex aggression (males more than females).

The Jack Russell terrier is a working dog and bred to hunt small furry animals, as such they may injure animals such as cats, rats, rabbits, birds and mice.
